Parkes Aquatic Facilities
Cool off in the Parkes Aquatic Centre, located on Dalton Street. You can swim laps in the 50 metre heated pool and kids can take a dip in the splash pool. Facilities include a covered grandstand and seating, change rooms, personal lockers (fees apply) and diving boards (by arrangement and under supervision). There is a disabled hoist for entry to the 50m pool and a water wheelchair.
Beyond the water, you can enjoy our spacious grounds, which feature a playground, BBQ area and poolside cafe, making it an ideal venue for a family outing. We are also available for private hire. Come visit us and make a splash!
Aquatics
50m Outdoor Pool
Our outdoor 50 metre heated pool is a big hit with competition swimmers, fitness swimmers, school groups and swimming clubs. There is a disabled hoist for entry to the 50m pool and a water wheelchair.
Splash Pool
Our outdoor splash pad is a vibrant water play area packed with exciting features to entertain children of all ages and abilities.
Dive Boards
We have 2 diving boards connected to our 50m pool open on weekends and holidays.
Kiosk
After your next swim, be sure to refuel at the Parkes Aquatic Cafe! We have a delicious and wide-ranging menu to satisfy any craving.
Enjoy classic hot food favorites like chips, chicken nuggets, and mini pizzas, or try our loaded fries and bacon and egg rolls. For a lighter option, we have fresh chicken sandwiches and loaded overnight weetbix.
Need a coffee fix? Our cafe serves everything from a flat white to a mocha. We also have a great selection of cold drinks, including milkshakes, protein shakes, juices, and slushies to help you cool down. Don’t forget to check out our daily and weekend-only combo deals for great value.

All new for 2025 we have our new outdoor movies and party bookings.

Learn to Swim
Parkes Aquatic Centre offers many different swimming programs for all ages and all levels. The GOswim Program and Water Safety School Holiday Program helps students work on their water safety skills as well as their technique.
Opening Hours
Note: Prices are under review with Parkes Council and will be updated in the first week of October.
Open 7 days per week, from the October long weekend until the end of March. On weekdays, from 6am to 10am, the pool is taken up with lap swimming. From 10am the pool is available for general public access.
